Your ROCKCI DIY Virtual Server features full access for programming allowing you to add a multitude of capabilities to your Website. Guestbooks, Shopping Carts, Order Forms, Counters, Surveys, Web/Database Interfaces, Auctions, Calendars, Chat, Voting, Games, Tests and Quizzes, Image maps, Interactive Stories, File Downloading, Slide Shows, Classified Ads, Clocks, Link Indexing Scripts, Audio Management, Mailing List Management, are all examples powerful and attractive features you can add to your pages.  

CGI scripts make this possible by allowing users of your Website to Interface with your Virtual server. This means your Virtual server can run programs and display results to the user, or send email to a merchant, or build  Database files, etc.  This is accomplished using what is called  CGI (Common Gateway Interface). The programs themselves are sometimes referred to as CGI scripts 

Can I use my own CGI scripts?   
ROCKCI DIY Virtual servers fully support the programming Webmaster. FTP, and Telnet Shell access allow you to set file permissions (chmod) and much more. PERL 5, and PERL 4 and many associated PERL modules are installed and available for customer use. These features are included in our service saving you the space. 

Tips
