Connecting to your Virtual Server via Telnet (Shell)

Telnet is a feature that allows you to execute commands on your ROCKCI DIY Virtual Server remotely using a TELNET client Program.

You will need Telnet Software in order to Telnet to your Virtual Server.
See THE HELP PAGE for links to download popular Telnet Software.
To connect to your ROCKCI DIY Virtual Server through Telnet, use your Telnet client program. To configure your TELNET Client to connect to your Virtual Server, you will need to enter your domain name www.Your_name.com  as the Host. Also have your user name and password (emailed with activation) ready before you connect.

Note Often, when your account is first activated, you will be provided with an IP address to use instead of your domain name until registration of the domain name is complete. This allows you to begin work on your site immediately.  After domain registration is complete, you can use  www.Your_name.com instead of the IP address to connect.
