Connecting to your Virtual Server via
Telnet (Shell)
Connecting to your Virtual Server via Telnet (Shell) Telnet is a feature that allows you to execute commands on your ROCKCI DIY Virtual Server remotely using a TELNET client Program. Note Often, when your account is first activated, you will be provided with an IP address to use instead of your domain name until registration of the domain name is complete. This allows you to begin work on your site immediately. After domain registration is complete, you can use www.Your_name.com instead of the IP address to connect. Upon connecting with your TELNET client, you will see something like
the following:
login: Upon entering your user name, You will be prompted for your password:
login: yourlogin
Upon entering your password your screen will look
something like the following:
login: yourlogin
